Default WTH kinda hillbilly shizz is this?

Alright, today, i decided to remove my speakers and headunit cuz im leaning towards tracking the car so im removing all the unnessacary stuff.

I removed the door panels and this is what i see. Now, i dont know if thats OEM right there but its deffinitely not the way i woulda done it.

and then i found this big ass power thing in the back. WOW. why oh why was the last owner so gay.

Oh the happy note, when i removed my headunit, i decided to cut up this old carbon fiber peice i had laying around from my broken wind splitter. I put it behind the door and i think it looks real nice. Now i need some gauges and switches to make it official. Any suggestions on what i can put in there.

that's what you need to do if installing aftermarket speakers. he just saved like 30 bucks on the bracket by making it himself, actually a lot of ppl makes those themselves.

That makes no sense. When I replaced my speakers they fit right in the stock mount and worked fine. I swapped out both doors in < 30 minutes.

Are those not the OEM size?

Crutchfield had the speaker adapter too so I just plugged them in.

the thing you pulled out after the speaker that was in the door is a filter for the sound quality so the components don't see too many highs or too many lows
