2002 AP1 seats
I just recently purchased this 2002 AP1 and the previous owner bought it in 2002 at the 2000 mile mark.Here is a picture of the seats which do not appear to be OEM. My

Here are the seats which don’t appear to be OEM
question is did the dealer have them reupholstered by a third party and if so why with only 2k on the vehicle? Currently the AP1 has 26k miles on it. Is there any way to confirm that they are the original seats? Did the seats come with any identifying serial numbers?

 

Clazzio seat covers.

 

The Clazzio black and red covers that are for sale online do not look like this. Your seats appear to be third-party.

 

I don't think those are Clazzios. They don't make them with cutouts for the helmet hole. Looks to me like the original owner just had the stock seats recovered with custom skins with a Honda logo. They were probably originally all black and just changed to taste with the red center sections and logo. The seat frame and internals appear completely OEM.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. They look good.
