Default AP1 interior into AP2?

So I have a 05 GPW with tan interior and someone wants to trade me their black AP1 interior for mine. My question is do I need to be aware of any problems this may cause?

Before you yell at me to search, I have. And here is what I have found (please correct me if I am wrong):

Seats are perfectly interchangeable, including the rails (the rails/seats changed in 06?).

The door panels differ slightly, but are interchangeable. Are the leather inserts interchangeable or only the entire panel? **biggest concern**

To the best of my knowledge, everything else is okay... (leather center console trim, carpets, floor mats)

Thanks for any help, its just making me nervous switching between ap2 & ap1. Lastly, anybody have a pic of a GPW ap1 or ap2 with black ap1 interior?

I have 05 AP2 interior in my 03 AP1. Seat and door panels mounted up just fine. You should have no problems.

I think door inserts are different but the complete door interior panel is definitely interchangeable. I have AP2 interior door panels in my AP1. They just clip right in. Center console is a direct swap as well.

Can you explain how the inserts differ between AP1 and AP2?
