Default AP1 Interior and removing smell

Hi,

I just bought a SS AP1 and realized that the previous owner had a dog in the car and when I with the top up, there is a wet dog smell...

what is the best way to remove that smell and get rid of the small dog hairs on the sides of the center console carpeted areas?

Vacuum
Shampoo
And vacuum some more.
I have 2 Siberian huskies.
If I can get rid of all that hair, anyone can.
Just take your time when vacuuming.

Get some air freshener too.

yeah i take my police dog with me every where in the s2k. and he is a year old german sheppard male. and he sheds. i go thru my car once every 2 weeks, take the seats out. i also have a dyso animal which helps.

i need to get a pic of him sitting in the passenger seat with the top down lol.

but yea get a steam cleaner, rent one buy one. they only 120 bucks at lowes and get a carpet cleaner that is used for animals and u should be good it may take a time or 2 of doing it but the smell will come out.

after my wet dog smell coming back twice im going to be replacing the carpet tomorrow. Its about time I think. Going to be dyno matting the floor and inside the hard top so hopefully i get that bentley thud and less road noise.

oh yea.. drive around some gas stations and check out their vacums.

i found one around me today that had a "shampoo" feature.
tried out and it worked great!

after about 5 bucks in quarters, my carpets look brand new and smell fresh!

i just replaced my carpet in mine and when i pulled the old one out, the underlay they use as padding was wet and molded. replacing the carpet in these cars in beyond easy. if you are having the smell put new carpet in and not have to worry about 10 years of mold coming back.

i also dyno matted every thing and used a 3/8 foam sound deadner under the carpet. over 90 percent of the road noise is now gone.
