Default AP1 Seat Weight Sensor transfer?

Greetings,
I'm thinking about putting some Corbeau Forzas in my AP1 but I don't want to trigger the airbag light. A buddy of mine who has these same seats in his Cobalt SS said he was able to take the stock weight sensor pad out of his cobalt seat and slide it into his new buckets. Is this possible on a AP1 s2000? If it is do you think it would work?

Thanks!
