I'm going to remove my ap1 dash to get to the heater core etc. I'm thinking while this is out I can replace it with the newer "AP2v2 DASH" (2006+). Will it fit? There was hearsay of some issues with a wire harness getting in the way. I'm hoping it's just a direct swap. I'm getting a good deal on one and wanted to check first!

Its not a direct fit, the passenger airbag is different. ALso the lower knee pad is different.

00-01 AP1's use different (a darker, more black and better quality IMO) leather.
if you have an 00-01, the shade of black will be off.
