I am having a bit of trouble finding an answer to the following question: Will I have any difficulty taking a dash from a 2008 s2000, putting my AP1 (2001) cluster into that dash, plugging everything in using the AP1 harness, then installing the dash in my 2001 s2k?

Any help offered would be much obliged! Thanks in advance!

I pulled the 01 dash. Taking the dash out of the 08 tomorrow, putting the 01 dash harness, cluster and airbags in that, then swapping it in. Not taking any chances with wiring. I'm pretty sure the compatibility issues exist with cluster and SRS plugs/wiring. The dash will fit. Previous scum cut holes in the dash for gauges, bringing about this headache!

 

i believe the Ap1 and Ap2 dash are not direct swaps. you can make them fit one another but the mounts are different in the passenger area due to the AP2 map pocket

I have swapped an ap1 dash into an ap2 before with no issues or misaligned mounting points that I can remember so you should be fine!
