Auto-dimming Rear View Mirror Options

I agree - keep it simple.
One practice I have fooled with to keep glare down is to adjust the side mirrors so that they are angled out so far that they pick up the view beginning where the view from the main center mirror ends - or nearly. It takes a bit getting used to. But it definitely cuts down the glare from following traffic. When they are adjusted this way the combination of the three mirrors gives you the widest view behind. The one negative thing is that you can't use the side mirrors to see traffic coming up from behind with the side mirrors until it gets right up along side. But, you can see it with the center mirror.

This made me think about how I drive. I have tinted side and rear windows. If I am driving on an interstate at night, I usually have the top up because the freeway noise is bothersome. With the top up, the tinted windows help a great deal keeping the glare at bay. As I live in a semi rural area, driving at night top down never brings a "glare" problem as there are so few cars around.
Just not worth the effort for me. Perhaps if I replaced my windshield but I use 3M glass polisher (with my DA) to keep it pretty nice.

I prefer a heavily dimmed mirror as the reflection from rear approaching headlights is very irritating for me. Many transport trucks are now running super-bright LED lights which is much worse, I think many of them are non-factory LED's and the light just scatters everywhere. The last 5 cars I've owned had auto-dimming mirrors and none of them worked as I preferred, they seemed to dim well at farther distances and dimmed poorly as the vehicles got close, which is counter-intuitive to me. The manually controlled rearview mirrors provide the best dimming for me, I wouldn't mind an auto dimming mirror if they also gave you a manual control.

I have Zoom Engineering TS mirrors in both S2000's. The blue tint isn't that bad and you can see everything through a OEM hardtop window. Kami Speed sells them.
