Default Body-colored interior bits

So, in contemplating my upcoming interior project, I had the idea to paint the console bits and radio door LBP. Basically the parts that are silver in the early AP2's / faux CF in the CR.

I've only found one car with body colored interior bits, which can be see here:

Here's a sample:

Curious what others think of the idea. In my case, my seats and doors won't have a lot of blue, except for the stitching (the panels are charcoal alcantara), so this would be a way of getting a bit more color to complete the look. Thoughts?

EDIT -- I'm proceeding with this idea. Scroll down for updates.

When I bought my car, the previous owner had the bezel, shift surround, door tweeters, door handle cups, and the window switch surrounds all painted suzuka blue in my blue interior. I kinda liked it, but it got old fast, and I re-did my entire interior so I got rid of it. I kinda like the black better though imo.

I guess its more of your own choice and also what color your car is like it would look good on a SS or a Moonrock, or BB but a Spa Yellow or may be a NFR would be too much

But thats just me,

yea for the suzuka theres already enough blue inside and to add the suzuka blue to the interior was over the top. As far as the LBP, if you limit it to maybe 1 or two pieces it would be ok. right now im thinkin about doing my rear view mirror in suzuka blue. thats probably the only piece i would do in the interior. plus i've searched on here and havent seen pix of people who've done the rear view mirror.

Yeah it would only be the radio door, cup holder cover, and the bit of trim around the console switches. I have spare radio door, so I think I'm just going to go ahead and paint that and see how it looks before doing the other parts. Thanks for the opinions!

Since I had an extra radio door lying around, I thought I'd paint it and get an idea of what it might look like. Here's the result:

The sun was hitting it pretty good in that second shot, so it looks pretty bright. But I think this could work. Like I say, it would be the door and the two 'satin black' finish pieces on the console.

Oh BTW, free cookie to whomever can identify the shift knob.
