Default Can my seats be fixed?!

Unfortunately my seats are in pretty rough shape...
Are they worth fixing or should I just chuck them? I need to figure something out before spring, because the seats are very uncomfortable.

I am willing to buy another set of oem, but I haven't had much luck. Fixing mine may be my only option.

Thanks

Well the side bolster can be fixed.

The bottom cushion insert is too far shrunk and the only way to make it better is to replace it.

I don't think you need to chuck them. Perhaps you can just get new covers and re-upholster.

Get yourself some Clazzio seat covers and call it a day!

Seek out a reputable interior restoration shop in your area, preferably one that handles high end cars/classics. I don't see anything there that cannot be repaired and for far less than new covers.

Ya, I don't think a cover is going to help me much. The driver seat has little to no cushion left. Thanks for the suggestions, I will try and find a local reupholstering shop and see if they can help me out. I will keep you posted

Don't give up hope yet! If you can't find a used pair of S2000 seats locally on Craigslist, you might consider replacing just the cushion in question. I replaced my driver's seat cushion (part# 81532-S2A-013) when I first bought my S, and it was a very simple installation.

Oh sweet, I didn't even know you could get the cushion. Did you have to replace your material as well?

No, I did not need to replace the material in my case. Croftoncustoms might be able to repair your foam for you, but you'll need to pull the skin off first to see how badly damaged it is.

Usually the foam is good, but needs to be steamed to give it more "life". Where the outer bolster breaks through, I am actually able to rebuild it with a high density foam and it last a long time because you learn real fast not to sit on it when getting in the car. Lol

The biggest issue all of my friends, customers, and myself have come across is that when the leather dries out, it becomes very hard and then uncomfortable. I've replaced many inserts with microfiber and then the seats feel like a million dollars.
