looks good. just wondering if this affects the functionality of the airbag? i want to assume no since it bursts with a great amount of pressure

Has anyone experienced this? Can someone comment on this before I wrap my console and airbag panel D:

Edit: nevermind, it shouldn't distort in the sun, the 3m di-noc cf vinyl is known for wrapping exterior car parts as well..

Get the cf type for exterior wrapping and you're fine. You're going to want that type anyway because it stretches for the shape of the panel very nicely

This.
I bought some vinyl on eBay but it seems hard to work with.
I'd like to buy some good quality stuff

I would be careful advising people of this. I know the thought seems like just a "sticker". Airbags do excert alot of force, but it doesnt always mean it will be able to burst through this "sticker" 100% of the time. Keep in mind that when you do a custom upholstery on a seat, if it has side airbags inside the seat, you have to use a special thread for that seam/ section. You could also phrase that to belittle it also, saying "it's just thread". I'm not saying that this WILL affect airbag deployment, but I would be warry of advising someone who might not know better that it absolutely will not.

I highly doubt this will effect anything. With the amount of force that airbag would come out, it would break through it. Its coming out with more force than probably about several punches, and I'm pretty sure there's some people on her that could break right through the material with only one punch. Also, the sticker, is on top of it, so even if it didn't actually break through, I think it would generate enough force to make one side of it come off and flip it ober since its just the stickers adhesive holding it on.

But if not, and if the passenger dies in a crash- well.....then he dies. At least hell die knowing my air bag panel looked really cool, and that's all that matters
