Default Center console clips

Is this a common problem with AP1s? I even bought a second console from another AP1 and still had the same problem. The rear 2 clips will not snap into place. The clips appear to be in good shape, as does the piece they snap into, but it just won't go. It's not a huge problem, just a minor annoyance. Thanks for any help!

I had the same issue on my AP1 center console. I have since switched to an AP2 center console and no longer have the issue.

Same problem here. There was a TSB that calls for trimming the leather under the center console, tried that to no avail.

The next thing I'm going to try is adding a spacer/washer to the screws that hold the center glovebox. The female side of the clips are apart of the center glove box, so I'm thinking that if it sits slightly higher the clips will engage.
