Default center console swap

hey guys, searches only pull up FS threads...

i was driving today and noticed that my cup holder on my MY00 has decided it does not want to spring open anymore....having a 2000 means i also have the carpet around the center console.

my request is for someone who has an AP2 center console in their AP1. from what i understand, and have read during my search, the 04-05 are a direct swap for the consoles and there is appearantly an issue for the hazard button on newer models for swaps...

sorry guys because i know there are pictures but i would like to see what i am getting myself into, if i need to get the leather for the center as well because i rather like the carpet...

Currently in bed on the iPod so I got no pics but. Can post some tomorrow
I will tell you that my AP2 console has the silver door so I believe it's the 04 05 yr
I think 06 plus has the black sliding door
I had no fitment issues with mine
I still have the carpet only because 1 I never got around to changing it to microfiber and 2 well I kinda like it
Lol
I'll post some tomorrow.

ahh thanks a lot man, im asking this request on more than this forum so if you dont mind i might also show the results there for anyone else who is wondering what im going through.

and thanks for the help! please dont forget haha, the bum door is really bugging me because my car is starting to show its age..

sounds like your picture is exactly what you said. i do believe the 06+ have black lids so this seems correct

The ap2 console swap is one of the very best things to upgrade on your ap1. The swap from ap1 to ap2 04-05 is just plug in play. It will change your interior in a very good way.

the hazard button you have will not fit an ap2 console. or at least mine doesnt. there may be a difference between 04/05 and 06+. im not sure. i just know mine doesnt fit. you should be able to find a used one that has the button still in it.
