Here is my personal preference. I try not to go over-board by cleaning it too often, I'm a little weary of cleaning products as you never know how gentle they really are despite their advertising. The cleaning requirement would vary quite a bit based on the use of the vehicle, amount of top down driving, exposure to sweat from legs and back along with suntan lotions etc.., food products spilled in vehicle, etc..... . My approach is cleaning it 2-3 times a year and conditioning it monthly. If you do a lot of top down driving and leave the car open to elements you may need more cleaning due to dust , dirt , pollution etc.. . One thing that is hard on seats is human sweat, I try to avoid wearing shorts in the car, if you find yourself sweating alot in the car then clean it more often, the salt from human sweat is hard on leather causing it to dry out.
I use the Lexol system for cleaning and conditioning, but I also combine it with Mequiars Leather cleaner/conditioner applicaitons in between the Lexol treatments about once a month. The Meguiars product can be used for quick cleaning and conditioning in one application, I also like to use it because it contains UV protection from the sun and it is still a non-petroleum based product. Lexol conditioner does not contain any UV Protection and I think we need UV protection when you are doing top down driving.

2-3 times a year is a good starting point but you'll need to adjust based on your particular situation. Don't overlook the existing leather care threads.
303 works well too as it is a good protector against UV rays as well, given the high level of finishing on our seats (especially ap1 seats) a vinyl product like 303 works well as the coating on the leather seats is very vinyl like, it works quite well.
