Di-Noc anyone?
Maybe in the area where it curves, you can cut the film by slicing it to fold around the corners instead of using one solid continuous piece. Might not look as "clean" but with this material it should be hard to notice any cuts.
You did a great job wrapping the cluster trim.
The problem with the Di-Noc is it likes to contract. Outward bends (over a curve) is what the material wants to do. It's the inward bends (pushing in) where things get tricky. Plus, the adhesive backing doesn't like sticking for long on plastic. When the material cools on inward bends, it contracts and the adhesive isn't strong enough to keep it in place.
If you want to wrap it again, I recommend first coating with adhesive promoter. Then spraying a couple of times with 3M Adhesive 77. Touch up adhesive work with 3M Adhesive 80. Bottom line; buy the piece in CF
And no - we didn't remove any material. We tested each piece for over an hour in 110+ heat with high humidity. That's not to say we didn't have issues. We had to figure out how to make the crap stick.
FYI - the dash only rolls along the top. The sides and underside are a mess of inward bends. Then again, all the interior parts look really easy until they're in your hands.
cheers!

well, i decided to add some carbon back.... and it looks great. it was time consuming to get all the tiny holes cutout correctly and get the circles perfectly done while keeping the weave going in the same as the other side and my center console. but it all worked out great. have a look:

Is it back in the car yet? Would be cool to see an in-car shot
