Default Garage Opener

Hi everyone,

I have a aftermarket rear view mirror that is confusing. I watched multiple YouTube videos and searched through Googled and could not find it to work. Can anyone give me a step by step tutorial on how to put the garage opener memory stored in the mirror? Thanks!

congrats on the new purchase. i know on most new cars when trying to program the remote to the car you have to 1st disable the rolling code on the garage opener at home. most home garage doors have what is called a rolling code. which means everytime you open or close the garage door, the code changes so no one can steal the signal. most car garage door openers can not support this feature and it has to be disabled to allow only one code that the car will remember. this may be causing your challenge. hope it helps. good luck

It would help to know which mirror (and door opener) you have. There are a number of aftermarket mirrors out there.
