Girthy steering wheel? Lol
Back in the day I had a jdm blitz Victoria race wheel in my old civic and then my integra, it was ovular but had a really nice girth to it which make for better ergonomic feel. I drove an M3 recently and liked how thick the grip was on the wheel, can anyone recommend and aftermarket wheels that don't cost a fortune and have good "girth" lol
I have been looking at a personal grinta something online, but would love some input.
Also removing all the srs crap hopefully. Will I encounter any issues with srs light or cel?
Finally I would like to use a short hub but was curious if that would work with a quick detach?
Thanks guys
Cheers

I agree with you , a thicker wheel feels so much better, I always found the factory wheel to be too thin.
JPM Coachworks is currently re-covering an oem steeering wheel for me, they have an option of doing M3 thickness which I am going with. I hope to have it in my possession shortly and install it on my car. They can do a wheel that is a bit thicker than oem, and they can go thicker to an M3 spec. They use high quality leather or alcantara, custom coloured stitching, center stripes , etc... . The cost might be too much for a lot of people and more than many aftermarket wheels, but I get to keep my airbag and Honda emblem, and I don't need to worry about hubs. The thought of getting into an accident with this car and not having an air bag kinda scares me.

I just got an email from JPM and my steering wheel has been shipped today, I'll post up some pics when it arrives likely next week.
On a side note I was in a friend's BMW X3 today and it had a nice thick steering wheel, I hope mine is as thick as that when it arrives, it was real nice.
