Yes mine is soft/padded. Guardian is the way to go, cheaper and NO Core Exchange. I love mine!!!

Love the wheel! What red stripe and stitching did you go with?

Honestly I forgot which one, they told me which one to go with based on my Red/Black interior.

I will say you have to be patient with them, they don’t always respond right away, but the end result is worth it. I did matching shift boot and emergency brake too.

Order the extra thick wheel if you want soft padding feel, the wheels that are not as thick will just have new leather installed over the old leather and no padding. Back in the day when I was dealing with them the soft padded wheel was the M3 thickness, and the non padded thinner wheel was called competition thickness, or something like that. I had the m3 thickness wheel and loved it, nicely padded and it just felt great

@G4Z808I just saw your question. Yes, get the "M3" style (thicker, padded) steering wheel. They took about 6-8 weeks, I think (be patient). I got perforated Napa leather on sides, and Nappa leather top and bottom, all black, no 'stripe', flat bottom, with white cross-stitch. I'm just going for an OEM+ look for the car interior. I'm eventually going to re-do my OEM seats, as they are, just with white stitch where the factory dark red thread is, no more, no less. Needless to say the steering wheel is beautiful, and feels amazing to the touch. It's soft, but just enough. Sorry to hear about your Euroboutique experience. I was going to go with them, but it's simply too much money and I did wonder about how hard the wheel would be given the look of it. Suspicions confirmed.
Get with the guys at Guardian Designs / Motor-o-polis if you're still looking to change your upgrade. I've had mine now for a year or two and it looks and feels just like when I installed it brand new. Massive upgrade and worth every penny (way less than the option, too). Driving my 08 BB has had even more of a sense of occasion since then. Love it. Never selling it. Cheers, P.
