Default Help me recognize seats?

New owner here and I’m having a hard time figuring out if these seats are stock, covered, or are completely aftermarket.

I thought all stock seats had a hole with mesh at the top.

Any ideas?

thanks!!

06+ do not have the hole/mesh in the headrest.

Those seats look like a mix of oem seat & aftermarket covers with extra foam.

Assuming the wheels are correct the console is '04-'05 when OEM seats still had the "helmet hole" in the head rest. Whatever they are, they're not "correct." An noted the helmet hole was discontinued in 2006.

I see, thanks for the help guys. Looking forward to changing them out. I didn’t think they were OEM. They don’t recline/slide very well.

I’m open to seat suggestions!

Just look for a set of 2004-2005 seats like mine posted below, not really sure what the previous owner of your car was trying to accomplish?

Nothing looks wrong with the seats you have unless you're looking for a 100 point car. The OEM seats only move back and forth a couple of inches and recline less and less as you move them back.

There's a plug sold to block the drafts coming thru the helmet hole so the mesh wasn't universally liked and Honda removed it for undisclosed reasons that I can find.

I agree, I could speculate for days but I don’t know why the previous owner would change them, they don’t seem superior to oem seats.

chuck I appreciate your help. You’re right. It’s restoration / project car so I will be upgrading down the road.
