Its on the passenger side floor board, up towards the firewall in the inside. Its under the carpet. I was in the process of removing sound dedener ect. When I noticed how soaked/engorged with water this HONDA SURF BASE was.. What is this, is it a firewall protection? If I can remove it without affecting safety I would like to just because of how much is smells of mildue, probably start rusting something or mold up... I did a search and didn't come up with anything under HONDA SURF BASE.

 

its for sound and heat deflection.
