Default how do i remove the mirror bracket?

how do i remove this bracket? my stock mirror broke off, and yea it's done. don't want to get a new oem one since from the dealer they're 100, only ONE on ebay and it's 50. so i bought an autozone mirror and glued it underneath this bracket.

what products do i need that can DEFINITELY remove this black trim and the bracket?

You'll need to get a lighter and a metal clamp to pry it off (it'll be extremely hot). Some DIYed it, but I found it too scary since any screw up, i.e. twisting, pulling too hard, will crack the windshield. I ended up calling a mobile windshield repair man to do it. He got it off in 10 minutes, after having gotten scared himself when the mount wouldn't budge at all.

Very carefully. If you're not careful or haven't done this before it's easy to crack your windshield.

There are other sources as well. Majestic is frequently mentioned and it looks like they offer it for $67.38.
