Thumbs up If you REMOVED your windshield tape

Just wondering, but if you removed your windshield tape, how hard would it be to reapply it?

I take it since it's a tedious/intricate task, you'd want a professional vinyl shop to do it?

theoretically, assuming you want oem pieces.

you basically wait until your windshield catches a rock on the highway and cracks.

take it to the dealer, they remove the windshield, replace the vinyl strips, put new windshield in. .

very tedious task.

but, i'm guessing a good vinyl shop can do it also, it won't be like oem how it wraps under the windshield, but they can get it under the rubber gaskets and you wouldnt know the difference.

You could also have a bodyshop paint it black.

^ I was going to suggest the same thing. I would think with the windshield out it would be a much easier task. The tape doesn't go to far down in either direction. I wouldn't want to reapply it but I am sure there is a place that can.

If you have a hardtop, take it off. If you do not have a hardtop, keep the tape!!
