Is their mold somewhere in the car? Try to find the source of the smell, otherwise air the car out.

no, no mold that i know of unless its under the carpet. cause i took the seats off to vacuum the carpet and the passenger side was wet under and behind the passenger seat. I haven't really tried airing it out. Shoot i haven't even really drove it much. It just sits there. Im waiting for my front bumper to get out of the shop.

Maybe a few steam cleanings followed by a thorough vacuum would be my suggestion.

Ive never been too successful. I once coated the carpet, underside and top side, with baking soda and leaving it sit for a couple days before I vacuumed it up. It helped, but your best bet is to take the carpet out and seriously scrub it, soak it and dry it thoroughly.

and was going to suggest the same. under tha carpet is an insulation that is probable the source of the smell. Taking the carpet completely out and thoroughly cleaning it is the best bet

This will works like magic to removed bad odor for the car . Let me make long story short, back in 2005 my mother live in New-Orleans and her 2004 Honda Accord got flooded by Hurricane Katrina and her car smell like sanitary sewer. Her neighbor shows me the trick to get that odor out. Get yourself one loaf of fresh bread and place it all over inside your car and especially on the floor of the car. Put your top up and close all the windows and makes sure it a nice sunny day. Let your car sit in the sun for at least 4 hours or more. Please do not ask me how it work, but work like magic.

P.S. Please don’t try to eat the breads after or you need to call 911.
