How rare is the all red leather interior

00-01 ap1's in berlina black and silverstone got black/red interior as an option. grand prix white got it black/red interior standard for 00-01 model years.
02-03 berlina black and sebring silver got all red as an option. silverstone also got all red as an option in 03 when they brought the color back. grand prix white got all red interior standard in 02. they switched over to black/tan interior for grand prix white in 03.
it took me a few months to find my 02 s2k in grand prix white. i was doing country wide searches on auto trader and cars.com and a lot of time i came up in no findings.

GPW I believe was only 100% red in 2002. Berlina and Silverstone were the only other two colors to have an all red year, and I think they were 2002-2003.

People talk about the red interior like its super rare, but it's actually not.
According to that chart more than 7 thousand cars came with red interior.
The most rare interior is an Ap1 with black and tan, only came in GPW for 1 year. 715 total.
327 from 02, but more than 1,400 GPW Ap1's with red interior. Gonna be a tough find for a nice example from 02'.

I own one (GPW all red int) but the back end is gutted out (4 pt roll bar) right now because of track use. When I bought my S I have no idea about the uniqueness of its color combination nor have any knowledge about S2000 at all. A friend who showed me his customed AP2 Silverstone told me that it is an excellent fun car. A week later I was looking for a convertible car and after test driving a Miata, Audi, and 350Z I was about to settle for the Audi then the salesman told me that there is a white S2000 that just came in from a trade-in. Then I remembered my friend's car, so I said ok let's test drive it. It was still very dusty at the time but we went ahead and took her out for a drive, after that the rest is history.

Fact: 2002 was the only year you could get a a GPW AP1 with FULL RED interior. Not 00, not 01. Theres rumors of a few GPW carryovers into 2003, but I have never seen any proof.
Fact: In the US AP2's (in any color) NEVER came with full red interior.
I dreamed about owning an GPW with full red when they first came out but at the time I couldn't afford to buy one new. Four years ago I was fortunate enough to find one with 18k on it. I still have it, and now it has 23k.
