Dan,

It's been a long time, but I think I pulled the radio door aft thereby unsnapping the lower attach points on the facia surrounding the door. It takes a bit of force as I recall. I know there are instructions for popping that piece somewhere on this site. Once the bottom of the radio trim is loose, the cover should go in more easily. As you mentioned earlier, it is meant to replace the carpet, not go over it.

Okay, with apologies to Rick in advance...Go to Ricks Signature accessories, click on installation instructions and look at step 7.

On the way home from work I looked at my installation. Seems like I must have removed the small triangular panels from each side to facilitate installation.

Thanks, I still can't get it under the dash thing (even with radio cover and triangular pieces removed.) So I might have to cut it right before the dash. The radio cover should cover it all up but I'm going to keep trying to force it under the dash.

Okay, looks like I cut mine about even with the screw on the triangular piece. Dan, I remember cutting the cover a few times, slowly shortening it until it fit. I have about 1 inch under the radio, maybe slightly less.

Anyone else have some tips, I am in the process of adding the OEM center surround where the carpet used to be.

I can't get the carpet out, where should I cut, any pics?

Cut it or remove the stereo and pull carpet out.
