Interior colour change - Devalue?
Hi All,
I'd like to tone down the blue smurf interior of my Suzuka blue, with a two-tone, black/blue change. I'd like an overall effect similar to this

In essence, a black dash and outers to the door cards. I intend to find some quality vinyl paint or some leather dye. what ever works. I've resisted this to date for one reason... Question is, will this devalue the car? assuming talking of inevitably having to sell the car one day isn't going to get me a slap around the chops.
Thanks
Lee

I kinda thought that'd be the case to be honest. OEM dash and door cards are gonna cost me 100's though, so either way I'm taking a hit, either now on parts or at sale.
Am I in it for the love or the money haha
thanks

Yeh good point. What i could do with is finding a black dashboard and blue door cards of average condition then paint them up. Two tone the door cardsthen awap over to all blue on sale... its all in the buying price of the extra parts i guess.

Those parts are easy to find over here in the used market pretty cheap, maybe not in England by the sounds of it. Vinyl interior paint has come a long way nowadays, so it might be worth a try. A colour change won't devalue the car as long as it is done tastefully and is good quality IMO. You linked my car in the above post, all of the comments I've had have been positive, so I don't worry about negative effects on the value.

A lot of people are turned off by the radioactive blue that was used a bit too much in the suzuka blue s2000's, mainly the vinyl parts. If you can tone it down with some black you may find it more appealing to future buyers.
