I'm looking for some lightweight and more heavily bolstered seats for my AP2, which is only a weekend car at this point. I saw these on a car on YouTube (Thatdudeinblue brz converible review) and they looked pretty good. Here is a link to their FB page:

Anyone have any experience, thoughts, etc? How about other options for lightweight but streetable seats? Would like to trim 40 or 50lbs from the car and be able to stay centered on mountain runs. For reference I'm 5'10", 180lbs, 32" waist.

These fits well with the glovebox and door panel in this car.. I think you'd save some weight vs stock, but not as much as some carbon offerings.

 

If your primary reason is for weight savings you might be disappointed. The stock seats are already quite light (~31lbs with the oem seat rails)


Once you add rails/sliders (18lbs for PCI slider setup) and bucket seats (8lbs for recaro pole position) you’ll only be saving ~5lbs

 

Thanks for the input. Think I might stick with stock, perhaps re- cover with cloth to prevent some slip. After doing some reading I don't want to mess with all the electronic in the ap2 seats.
