I think you'll find that's a modified stock wheel.

yeah, thats no vgs wheel. id be weary of using that welded up beast.

well yeah i know what a vgs wheel looks like, but it has the same design so im not sure.

the original owner sawed his steering wheel and welded this together and had it recovered.

yea i bought it. from speaking with john and seeing people vouch for him and see that he was a stand up guy, i was comfortable buying this from him as he did explain that he has been welding for 10 years and knows what he was doing. so yea he took a stock wheel and basically shaped it to replicate the VGS wheel and than had it reupholstered.

Wow that's pretty trick - I was planning to do something like that!

If welded safely I think it would be ok? I'm no expert in welding....

But I would have re-done the leather a bit nicer if I was going to do all that work, just my 2 cents.
