the steering wheel dosent need to be strong. steering wheels are made to bend upon impact not act like a brick wall. a good weld will probably be stronger then originally. I started to do this with a spare i had, but after calling upholstery shops it would of cost too much.

 

the pics that i took dont do the wheel justice. the upholstery is really great. it was done by JPM Coachworks. From speaking to the guy who i bought the wheel from, the pricing of the upholstery was a bit of money but its a great lookin wheel. couldn't be happier

 

glad you like it. the fit and finish just isnt there. fell a little short imo.

Damn, Chris. Tough crowd lol. The wheel looks great in your car. You should properly seat the airing and re-take a pic. I'd still have it if I still had the S. It was one of my favorite mods.
