As the title states I'm looking at swapping out the bulbs for the cluster, a/c, and radio controls to LED. I've looked through all of the threads seeing lot's of LED swaps but I haven't seen something that retains the look of the OEM lights. Is there a company that offers this?
Pretty involved if you DIY, or you can send yours in for an exchange.
As far as a PnP bulb to retain the OEM look, there is not. I experimented with many styles of different LEDs in the cluster and unfortunately they all hot-spot. I tried every wide-angle LED I could find for the cluster, frosted lenses, etc etc. None produced the same glow as the incandescent bulb. LEDs are too harsh and too directional. The OEM cluster uses a white reflector behind the LCD screen & color filter to illuminate everything uniformly. As I said above, only the QUBE cluster can replicate this effect because it uses a full-array LED board vs just a couple of bulbs.
Here's the results I got when I attempted this while using LED bulbs.
LED bulbs are not gonna work, as the above posted pointed out.
I was able to make my own LED backlit cluster without paying for the Qube. I had to cut out the difuser panel out of clear acrylic, and line the inside of the cluster with a pure white LED strip for even lighting.
I didn't really take any pictures during, but my friend wants to do this on his car so i'll take pics and write up a DIY when we do that.

Thanks for the response. I think I'll go Qube. The install doesn't look to difficult which is nice.
