Default OEM Steering Wheel too thin

Had the same issue, took OEM steering wheel to an upholstry place and made it as thich as I wanted to my MX5, really made holding the steering wheel an absolute joy? Any experience here by some of the forum members? I am not interested in a modified and usually very expensive conversions. Thanks.

I had my s2000 wheel done by Gaurdian designs. You get what you pay for. Previously, I wore leather driving/sailing gloves and that was really helpful for OEM wheel comfort/grip.
YMMV

Effing hilarious . . .

But seriously, I had a local guy thicken my Mazda MX5 steering wheel and it made wonders to the driving experience. Love Guardian design, but it does not look OEM, by a long shot, AND, it can be pricey.
