Default Passenger side roll hoop plastic housing cracked?

On my MY04, the front half and back half plastic shells covering the passenger side roll hoop (behind and above the seat) seem to be separating; I suspect there was some internal clip or glue holding them together that has come off or broken apart over the years. Has anyone had this happen to them? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

I have contemplated trying some superglue but I have no idea if it would hold; there is a good amount of vibration going on in any S2000.

No, original top still, although with quite a tear in it now from the defective top mechanism that no dealer is going to fix for free or even share in the cost of. I haven't figured out what to do with the 2" rip yet, other than Gorilla Tape.

The plastic hoop cover started to separate about a year ago.

Has it been removed before? I read somewhere that once you crack open the two pieces, it's really difficult to put it back

Mine has the plastic separated behind the seat too and it annoys me. I think I makes a lot of noise over harsh terrain. I think it's the original top since the car only had 14k on it when I got it.

Mine is the original top; I bought the car new. The passenger hoop separated maybe a year and a half ago. It's not too bad but there is a rattle. I'm not sure what could have caused it.

Once the plastics separate, there is no getting them back together. They are fused together from the factory, I believe.

I have two black hoops with unseparated plastic for sale if anybody decides to replace them, let me know.
