Quest for OEM seat belt

Quest for OEM seat belt
My driver side seat belt has started to malfunction to the point where I don't really trust it anymore. The retractor mechanism no longer rolls the belt back up and won't keep it taunt while I'm wearing it. I'm not one to take safety lightly and would ideally like to replace the whole part with a new OEM seatbelt (04818-S2A-A04ZA). I've tried ordering one from several sources online and they appear to be no longer available from Honda.
But, I know these things need to be replaced whenever the airbags deploy and collision repair shops must be getting replacement belts from somewhere. Does anyone know a source for these things? I'd be OK with refurbished or remanufacturerd - I would just prefer not to buy used safety equipment with an unknown amount of use from a random eBay seller if I can avoid it.

check this out: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-...ranty-2201139/
thread started in 2008 and had posts through 2017. Some people were able to get seat belts replaced free from Honda. Some weren't. It's worth a try.

Go to your dealer, if they say it’s not covered under warranty, call Honda. They have a lifetime warranty on seat belts. I’ve seen them warranty seat belts the owners slashed because they said it wouldn’t retract.

Awesome. Thank you to you both. I searched till my fingers fell off and couldn't find this info anywhere. I'll check with my local dealer (who tends to be pretty decent) and see if I can make progress there.

Yes and no. My dealer required an inspection - they understandably wouldn’t take my word for it that the belt failed. I took it to them, got the inspection and they confirmed it was a failed belt and confirmed it would be a warranty repair. They did not have the parts on hand and had to order them. I haven’t been back yet. Honestly I’d rather take it in when the weather gets crappy. I’ll report back when everything is 100% done but things seem to be on track.
Note: I did have a copy of the warranty when I took it in. They didn’t ask for it but they did know I had it. Not sure if that helped or not.
Good luck.

I'm attempting to attach PDFs to this message. Not exactly sure if I'm doing it right. If not, then private message me your email address I'd be happy to send. FYI the only documents I have are for my own car (MY 2003) so you may have to search for your own. Seatbelt warranty is on page 31 of the overall Warranty book.
