Default Question about OEM seats seat cushion

Hi guys, my 06 AP2 OEM seat got a teared recently at the area where my butt lands.

I am thinking about to get a 2nd hand seat, driver side or passenger side, to swap out the lower part of the seat.
I am not quite sure if they gonna fit or not? But according to where I have seen some videos on Youtube, the lower part of the seat looks kinda identical to me.

Please let me know if you have any previous experiences with it or a good way to fix it.
Anything would help,
Thank!

Thanks!!

Someone correct me if I am wrong, the bottoms are the same. Have seen where people would swap because of bloster wear.

If it was me, I would check locally for a good upholstery shop and get a couple of quotes, have the padding updated if needed and would not pay more than $100.

Take it to your local upholstery place and have it fixed this month. Every city has a Honda group on Facebook so I'd just post there to find what's well known or just go based off google reviews.

That's the typical 2006-07 seat wear. Honda used faulty leather for those years and they just break apart like that. The 2000-05 leather is smooth versus textured in 2006-07 so it won't match if you're thinking about getting one of those. If you get another 2006-07 lower half, then its bound break apart again.

Having an upholstery shop repair it should be the cheapest option but don't be surprised with future tears.

Wow I would have never figured a fault in the new seat material of all things. I'm planning an interior rebuild when I find mine so it at least feels new to me on a higher km build, this will serve useful.

Cheers.
