I did a search and couldnt find anything on this. I really want to get rid of my radio door completely without having a huge gaping hole in my dash. Any ideas/suggestions/options here?

 

The radio door can be taken out of its trim case....

I know you can take the radio door out, but you still have the hinges and stuff, so it doesn't look clean.. is there a trim out there without the radio door hinges and stuff?

 

Exactly my concern. I know I could remove the door but it would look pretty bad.

 

Something a bit of fiberglass can fix that up.

 

Remove door. Dremel hinges. Sand. Paint a flat/textured black. Personally, I like the door though.

Call me crazy but I want to relocate my head unit to my glove box lol

 

I am going to remove my radio completely, cant hear it over the exhaust - just use ipod. Going to put my laser jammer button, 2 gauges and a tail/brake light switch in there. I am leaving the door, so I can close and conceal.

 

I wonder if it would be possible to rig up something so the door can open but then slide underneath itself. Stealth door open ftw?
