Default Radio Door and Euro Mats

Needed to break up the Suzuka Blue interior a bit and decided to replace the radio door and add some over-the-hump Euro mats in black. The door is done and I chose the CR carbon fiber door to accent the gunmetal grey trim already in the car. Next will be swapping black inserts into the blue door panels when I can fine a set in pristine condition

Ive seen a few “how to” threads on the forum or elsewhere but they seem unclear. My question is, are there spots to insert the plastic pieces for the screws in the 2002 Ap1, or will I have to drill into the cross-brace to secure the stays for the mats? I don’t want to cut randomly in search for them as I don’t feel anything under the carpet where they should be. I’m guessing it was a later addition in the AP2 cars.

Radio door looks great

Different vendors have carried them but I found these on eBay.

There are tutorials here. It’s pretty easy if you’re careful. Now that I’ve done it once, I could do it in probably 20 min. Just do a search

Thanks. I think they only come in black or red. If they come in blue, I’ve never seen them. Looks even better in person and tones down the murdered smurf of the interior. Plan on swapping out just the centers (not the whole panel) of the door panels to black as well but I’m in no rush. The interior is a bit much to take in at first and then you think it’s not so bad and then you start to fall in love with it. It grows on you big time. Very happy with the car thus far
