Thumbs up Recaro Pole Position owners.....

Pretty sure I want a set of the Pole Positions for my 06+ AP2 car however I'm concerned which rail I should use that will accomodate my 06+ passenger side with the air bag module? I know it's not the same fitment as the 04/05 cars.

If my memory serves me right there is a specific rail made to fit the Pole Positions for the 06+ cars?

On a side-note, I'm looking for a pair of Pole Positions along with rails if anyone has them for sale.

If the seat covers are a bit worn that's ok since I'm going to remove it and use as a template to have new interiors stitched anyways so let me know if you got one sitting around.

thanks
rick

I have the recaro PP and they are a very wide seat at the base. I believe buddyclub makes the 06+ passenger side rail that you need. Also you will need to make an extension for your factory seatbelt receptacle if you wish to use it as the width of the PP will sandwhich the receptacle between it and the trans tunnel making it virtually impossible to reach.

I had the extension made at a local shop for about $100 total for both seats together. There are other options but this was the easiest solution for me. If you need anymore assistance lmk. Oh and the PP is the best seat I've been in and I've been in a few.

i can try and grab a pic later... Given the position of the seat belt receptacle you may not see the extension that was made. The recaro pole position WILL NOT fit taitec rails... I learned from experience.

Rick,

We use the Buddy Club mounts/rails and the Pole positions in our cars here. Fit great. If using the oem belts, youll need to either have small hands, or make a bracket for easy access.
