Default 00-05 to 06+ Seat Swapping

I currently have the all black interior in my 2006. I really want to do the black/red two tone but for 06/07 that's much less common than it was on the earlier years. I don't even know if there was a black/red two tone in anything other than GPW, maybe a few Silverstones? I know on the 04/05 it was reasonably common for Silverstone and Sebring.

I want to know if the actual seat cushions, lower and seat back are the same for all years as far as mount points are concerned. I know the actual rails vary a little on the 06+

All of the extra SRS related stuff on the 06+ is located on the actual rail, none of it is built into the seat.

That said, is it possible to swap with someone that had a pre '06 with each of us keeping our own seat rails?

Yes, swaps right over...I'm pretty sure you would only need to make the switch on the passenger side.

I just put 06 seats into my MY04. Only the passenger rail is different. The mounting points on the bottom cushion are exactly the same. So yes you guys could both keep your rails. The main mounting bolts will not change. The only difference is the two small screws that hold the plastic covers over the reclining mechanism. One of them screws into a different place I beleive. I only have one in and it holds fine.
