Default Red carpet in 08 laguna?

Was this ever a option. I found a 08 with very low miles and wanted to take a look at it and it has red carpet with black seats. It's the first I have seen in a laguna. Was this a option or did the owner swap out the interior? It's at a dealer and the car fax is clean but with very fee reports. Car has 14700 and he dealer is asking 23k for it.

It never was an option. Red/Black was available in GPW, various silvers (Silverstone, Sebring, etc), and BB.

So you think this person had it either custom put in or do you think it might have been a accessory at the dealer? Do you think this might throw up a red flag, also something I can use to bring down the price at the dealer maybe?

Well it is definitely not stock and why a dealer would do it is beyond me. I think the previous owner had a superman complex. If the car is priced less than comparable other models then no the dealer will probably not budge. If it is the same price then you can say this is not stock etc etc which is a red flag etc etc drop it a grand or 2.

Lol yeah maybe. I think It looks kinda nice on the Laguna but I don't know maybe it just me and its different. The car is prices at 23k with 14700 and I stopped to see it from the outside, it was super clean. Only other thing I see is that its lower than most S2000s that I have looked at so when I go this weekend to test drive it I will find out if its aftermarket or not.

Just because he changed carpets doesn't mean anything - as long as he did it for the right reasons I see no issue there. I do agree it requires further investigation first.

I swapped my carpets on my 09 GPW from red to black just because I wanted a CR interior, along the way I added dynamat

But black carpet is understandable in your case... unless the previous owners retinas viewed light in a spectral band different from normal humans... red carpet in a blue car screams wtf...

Yup. I agree. Check the carfax again and take a good long hard look at the car.

It is one think if you like the color combo. It is another thing if you are overlooking it to get into the car. If the questions keep popping up walk away.
