Red Leather refurb
Hi
My drivers seat bolster colour has worn out in the usual place. (Red)
Is there a way i can repaint this?
I would need the exact colour as ive seen kits with the degreaser , primer and paint with lacquer all that was needed was an airbrush gun
Any ideas on how to do this job? or where to buy the leather paint, same colour as the s2k red?
Thanks Mark

I believe leatherique makes kits that are DIY friendly and you can tell them what car and color etc you have and they send you the exact color. Look it up online DIY leather dye. There are a few BMW guys who did it on their M3s. I was going to do it on my own M3 actaully.
Leatherique.com should have some info for you.

Not sure if you have any good upholstery shops where you are but here, they will repair the whole seat for around $100-150 bux depending on if they have to replace a panel or not.
The best way to find a good one is to go around to a few used car lots and ask who they use. Go to the small lots with maybe one or 2 guys working there, not the big corporate lots.

I tried leather dye on a car I had with tan seats, it didn't match very well. I ended up using liquid acrylic paint like you can find in craft stores. I mixed a few colors until it matched. It looked good and was durable.
