Default red stiching on 09 models with black leather

I was looking at a my 09 sales bro and noticed that the interior pic that honda presented had red stiching on the seats of the black leather. Nothing else in the interior had the red except the seats. Did they use red thread on all the black leather seats for MY 09? What made me think to look was another post I had read that stated that the 08/09 seats were better than the other AP2 ver 2 seats produced. I didn't see any stylistic changes beside the red stiching for my 09. Just curious.

I've never seen any stitch differences.

The 08/09 red and black seats were different in the colour pattern which I think look the best, but that is just my opinion. The 06-09 seats were made of slightly different leather from what I can tell compared to 00-05, along with the styling change at the headrest.

08/09 -- Taller headrest (above the height of the roll hoops). No hole in headrest. All of the black seats had soft/smooth leather with red stitching. The red/black seats also had red stitching. The leather is softer but not as durable as 06/07. CR seats were the same shape only cloth covered.

06/07 -- No hole in headrest. Thicker/harder leather with pebble texture.

00/05 -- Hole in headrest.

nice posting those pics, I never noticed the red stitching in the later year ap2s , but those are my favourite seats. Good info on all of the model year seats.

interestingly, the USA 2008 sales brochure shows black stiching on the black leather interior shot!

Nope, that must be a mistake in the brochure. All 08/09 seats have red stitching, except the CR.

i know the "leather material" is different. the 06 leather is thicker and has a rough finish as the 08-09 material is cheap and thin... but the 06 has no red stich and the 08-09 does.
