Public Service Anouncement

Wow, after years of searching, I think I found the Secret Spoiler Switch.

There's a little Rectangle Black Button located inside the Glovebox just below the SC latch. Push it and the Secret Spoiler will pop into place.

Seems to work Backwards for some reason. When I slow down the Huge spoiler raises, when I speed up it lays almost flat.

Maybe it's not a Spoiler at all, I think it might be some sort of Secret Air Brake of some kind. The Harder I hit the Brakes the Higher the Air Brake Rises.

Great Idea Honda

I found it a couple days after I bought the car. I was hanging out with a fellow s2k owner looking through the car for the owner's manual, and couldn't find it anywhere. Then he told me to look in a "new" place. Sure enough, the manual and all of the previous owner's receipts for maintenence were in there.

As for the gas door lever. Took me a few minutes to figure it out the first time I filled up the car. I was looking all over the floor beside the driver's seat when I bumped my head right next to it. Look up an huzzah!

Hmmm...guess I was lucky. Just happen to look at the owner's manual - that fact alone tells you I'm married - trying to figure out why the doors kept locking after I hit unlock on the fob. Appearently, Honda only allows you 30 seconds to get in the car after you hit unlock. What? Someone gonna come steal your car at 31 seconds? ...but, I digress...I just happen to see the page marked "SECRET COMPARTMENT" in the manual and thus, I discovered it. Damn, I've only had the car 8 days. No hours of joy searching high and low for the mysterious Secret Compartment. No life-changing epiphany when, after years of ownership, I discover the Secret Compartment. Ah well, such is life.

Oh, my salesman did show me the gas door release lever. Another joy missed.

My fiance found it first time she was in the car, everytime we are driving a long distance, she searches and swears there must be another one, like where a glove box should be. -I did find the seat pocket right away though.

Bought my car in July from a dealer in Ft Collins, CO... used... drove up after work in my POS trade in... got there late cuz of traffic but the dealer wanted to make the sale so he waited for me... I signed the papers and we both took off in different directions... only took about fifteen minutes!

I drove about one block before I looked at the gas tank and thought I should stop for gas... Yeah... chalk me up for another S driver opening as many parts of the S as I knew existed BEFORE reading this thread and still scratching my head!!!!

I had the dealer's cell number... (of course...) so I called to find out where the stupid button was for the gas cap... His perplexity irritated me since I had about 1/16th of a tank and had to drive three hours home and it was seven thirty at night... Course I didn't know about the secret compartment and now that I do know about it I'm SURE that my owner's manual is in there... I ordered one already though... just haven't received it... I'll be ticked when I find it in the Secret Compartment!

Ended up calling a Honda dealership... thank God they were still open... The guy I talked to laughed at me though... Kinda hurt my feelings!

Anyway... I can hardly wait to go back out to my car after work today and find that compartment... and my owner's manual...!

Thanks for this!

Jewel

If you read Honda's documentation, I think it's on the window sticker but I could be remembering that wrong, it says that the car somes with a full tank of gas.

Have to admit, I read the owners manual to find mine. But I did run out the door excitedly and exclaimed to my wife as if I found something truly special.
