...and i only found it because I was thinking about mounting a mid speaker there. Glad I did a little digging before cutting into it!

Took me a few months as well. I thought my car never came with the owners manual. I was almost ready to order one off of ebay too. then one day after browsing on here i realized i had this "hidden compartment". as soon as i found out i ran outside and looked inside. guess what was in there... the owners manual.

Holy crap. Same here. Ive owned my 01 for about 8 months now and i just realized there was a extra compartment. and I found the owners manual, a pair or sunglasses and some misc insurance cards. I contacted the original owner and he had no idea about that compartment.

This was the first thing I did when I test drove my car now.

The sales man had no idea it was there either. I was more excited about finding that than actually driving the car for the first time, haha.
