Default Securing Ricks S2000 windscreen

He guys,

I bought the Ricks full tinted windscreen and I have been securing it with napkins or folded electricla tape.

It works great until i need to open the console or it gets loose.

How have you guys fixed the wind buffering problem?

I used a TON of clear silicone to keep my Js2k one from rattling.

What? The bigger I bought I had to take apart the oem one and just replace the clear plastic part. Thats what I had to use the silicone on. The base I just used the oem screws.

I think he means to say that the windscreen vibrates in the windstream. I had one of these on the MY2000 and they sold a bumper kit that mounted on the roll bar hoops to supposedly fix that problem. The website still shows an installation .pdf for the "improved" vibration damper that looks like some kind of wedge.

Just use some clear silicone as mentioned above. It will fill the void between the new windscreen and the base it bolts into. That will prevent it from wobbling/squeeking in the wind.

What i did was i drilled two small holes in the side of the roll bars, i inserted a roll pin in each and the covered them with a small black hose cap.they stick out just enough to touch the windscreen.they do not interfere with the operation of the windscreen. i positioned the roll pins so the windscreen stands straight up and down. only downfall is when backing up in the dark the reflection in the screen makes it a challenge sometimes.
