This may seem like a stupid question but did I install this wrong? When installed under the shift boot the nut would not clear? The way it is installed now looks a little weird, and thanks in advance for the help. Never mind figured it out as I installed the nut backwards, and it is now sitting flush.

What's up with that little collar on the boot? I like that

 

It allows the nut to sit in the collar so you cannot see the nut in between the boot and the knob.

Lol got it from Honda. I used a DC2 shift boot and trimmed it to make it fit.
