looking at purchasing a sparco steering wheel. is it necessary to have a sparco hub or will an nrg or mono hub work just as well? what about quick release? ahh I'm such a noob!

 

They work with works bell short hubs.

 

There is no such thing as a Sparco or Momo hub. There are however NRG, Splash or WorksBell hub. I believe Spaco steering wheels need an adapter to fit the hubs because the bolt pattern is differen. So does a Momo steering wheel. A quick release system goes on top of the hub and the top part of the quick release attaches to the steering wheel.

you will need a hub regardless. I recommend NRG, I bought a short hub, quick release 2.5, quick lock (highly recommend this so nobody else could put their own steering wheel) and a steering wheel for $330 BNIB.
