My latch broke when opening it to lower the top, the button just started flopping around. When I removed the latch the spring piece was missing entirely. Nothing looks broken, and I've searched the car thoroughly without finding the missing piece. Has anyone run into this before? Any ideas on a part number or cheaper way to fix it than buying a $300 latch?

 

Whole latch should be under $200, maybe closer to $150.

Google part No, 86250-s2a-j01 for the right latch. (Left latch, which I think is OK is 86260-S2A-J01.)
