Can I switch my AP1 center console to a AP2 console. I see they have a window lock switch? which isn't my reason. Thanks

 

Yes you can. will snap right in

 

I did the conversion to my car yesterday.It is very easy and right bolt on even in mine,cause i have a carbon center cover instead of leather or carpet.The only problem i got is when the slide up cover is closed,with all the invidia drone,it rattles!
Anyone know how to fix this?

 

Thanks for the info. Where did you get yours and how much was it? Only saw one on ebay for around $350 and was hoping to shop for the best price.

 

Sorry to thread jack but I had seen a couple different ones on hardtop guy. I myself have an ap1 but i want to do the cr center console. If all of them snap right in like everyone says any idea why he offers a couple different ones at different prices?

If i had to guess, the $500 dollar one is the entire center console, while the other link is just certain pieces: shift boot, cupholder, and switch plate

 

no the expensive one is to convert your 00-03, the cheap one apparently does not need the conversion parts.??

 

i have done the conversion, altho the only thing wrong with my center console is that the demister connector does not fit in with the demister connection in the AP2. i tried contacting hardtop guy about this and didnt get an answer, im wondering if this can be purchased.

lambobm, would you happen to know if this is the conversion part that makes the item more expensive from hard top guy?

you can take the button off the top of the ap2 demister. And stick it on the ap1 switch underneath. Here's a link to do it
