Default AP2 leather cover for an AP1

Can a leather console cover from a CR fit a year 2000 AP1 center console? Does anyone know? Need mod'ing?

im 95% sure it will fit with ap1 center console

Yes, with no problem. You just need some effort to squeeze it under the plastic trim as you would do with any other vinyl/leather cover.

Sorry to up an old topic, but I recently bought an OEM lether center console for my AP1 and after installing it I noticed little "holes" where the leather won't go under the plastic. Is it normal? Should I stretch the leather more? I wondering if I should also buy an AP2 center console with cup holder etc.
