This coming Friday, May 11, let's plan on getting together. Scott Z from King MAY be coming down to hang out with us and have dinner/cocktails, etc. Even if he doesn't, it'll still be fun to hang out. Jason and Juliann will be in town, since the race is local...the only person missing will be Nick, since he is One Lapping right now...

So, I don't care where. Why don't we just pick someplace downtown and go with it. Any suggestions? We can meet at my place, even though parking is a bitch and head out from here...

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

I have a patrons league night at the art exhibition I'm in - high falutin' gallery owners are comining so I have to schmooze, blecht!...

But I will be near the loop - If you eat anywhere near Greek town - I can swing by.

 

Harry, his wife, Ronica and I had planned to go to dinner this coming Friday here in the 'burbs. However, I am having lunch with Harry today and will see if he's interested.

As far as suggestions on watering holes in the city: Harry's Velvet Room (good selection of beers, and poche variety of mixed drinks), Cinibar (known for their various Martinis.....hmmmmm chocolate martini), or Fado's (again for the beers).

For food, Kari (Brad's gf) and Ronica had suggested in the past that we do BaBa Reba's. It's a tapas place that's supposedly better than Cafe Iberico.

Any other ideas?

Friday sounds good to me. I've always been a beer & burger at Barleycorn's kind of guy (they too have a great selection of beer Luder). Anything anybody suggests though would be fine by me, I just want to finally meet you some of you.

Barleycorn....haven't been there in a long time. Another place I just thought of, Oven Grinder's.....hmmmmm, foood....oh yeah and how about the Mash Potato (again great Beers) (around the corner from Hat Dance).

Sorry that I won't be able to join you guys --- going to a concert that night (a rather rare event for us). I'll watch for your next suburban get together, or Monday lunch or something.
